- AICC
EN: Other reference standard for content interoperability, also include PENS for dynamic content publication
FR: Autre standard de référence pour l'interopérabilité des contenus, inclut également PENS pour la publication dynamique de contenu (groupe AICC PENS FR soutenu par EIfEL, MoU en réflexion)

- IMS
EN: Main Specifications organisation on the field of eLearning, several specs from IMS are now part of other standard (Scorm, IEEE RDC)
FR: Principale organisation proposant des spécifications dans le domaine eLearning, plusieurs de leurs spécifications font notamment partie d'autres standards (Scorm, IEEE RDC)

- LETSI

EN : Work on Learning Sytems Interoperability (including Scorm 2.0)

FR : Nouvelle organisation oeuvrant à l'interopérabilité entre systèmes eLearning (avec le soutient d'ADL et AICC, contact informel avec EIfEL)

eLearning Standardisation bodies:

- IEEE-LTSC Learning Technology Standards Committee
Organisame de normalisation US, main know standards (IEEE LOM, RDC, other interesting one: XML binding of CMI). EIfEL is member of IEEE LTSC.

- CEN/ISSS WS-LT and TC : http://www.cenorm.be/cenorm/businessdomains/businessdomains/isss/activity/wslt.asp

Link to CEN/ISSS WS-LT on DIN:

EIfEL is expert for the CEN ISSS WS/LT

- ISO/IEC JTC1-SC36

In contact with several participants, EIfEL couldn't directly be involve as it is not member of a EU national standardisation body (such as AFNOR in France, this is a decision taken by the EIfEL team has one of the mission of EIfEL is to promote interoperability at EU level and not only at only a national level, EIfEL member are of course welcome to ask for any movement in that direction if there is a need for that).

Other specifications/standards arround eLearning field:

- EMLs
(no direct activity of EIfEL member within this area)

- CDM (Course Description Metadata) and the European work on that area MLO (Metadata for Learning Opportunities)

(EIfEL is in contact with these communities and an EIfEL member project has proposed an application profile of CDM-FR for North French Region.)

- eHR : HR-XML : http://www.hr-xml.org/
(EIfEL is member of HR-XML and leader of the Europass work within this consortium)

- Identity Federation and web-services :

Liberty Alliance : http://www.projectliberty.org/
(EIfEL is sponsor Member of LA, chair of the HR-EDU SIG and member of the French SIG)

OpenID: http://www.openid.org

(EIfEL is member of OpenID Europe and represented in the worldwide foundation)
