SCAM ePortfolio is an educational ePortfolio solution built upon the SCAM Semanrtic Web repository framework. A Student-Teacher (and parents?) ePortfolio system can easily be set up by downloading and installing the SCAM ePortfolio release. SCAM ePortfolio is distributed as a WAR-file or as bundled with TomCat and Hypersonic (Windows only. Use the .war for Linux and OS X).

Code repositoryThe SCAM ePortfolio is built to be highly adaptable in terms of user interface, structure and functionality. This means that it is possible to use it, and adapt it, to the chosen pedagogical approach. The ePortfolio has several different access levels which makes it suitable for sharing resources with optional groups of users.
The rational behind SCAM is to build a general content/metadata repository based on open standards. The rational behind the ePortfolio is to construct an ePortfolio based on that repository - as an easy way of implementin an ePortfolio based on open standards.
