Version 0.7 of Mahara has been released. Mahara is a user-centric Open Source ePortfolio System based on an Artefacts, Views, Groups and Communities Framework.
Mahara now includes a Résumé Builder which allows users to create digital CV’s by entering information into a variety of optional fields including contact and personal information; employment and education history; certifications, accreditations and awards; books and publications, professional memberships; personal, academic and work/career skills and goals.
Mahara also now provides user defined tagging on all Artefacts and Views. All tags are searchable by the ePortfolio owner which allows them to label and categorise items within their portfolio for quick and easy retrieval.
In addition a number of improvements have been made to the Community area so that Staff members creating Controlled Communities are automatically given ‘Tutor’ status and along with Members are notified when an associated Community is assigned access to a View.
