Using the Student e-Portfolio in a large Australian University as a learning tool to assist in the transition to employment

n 2004, after twelve months of detailed planning, piloting and consultation with academics, employers and students, the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) developed and implemented a staged introduction of a Student e-Portfolio (Se-P). The purpose statement which guided the development process was: To enable students to record, reflect on, catalogue, retrieve and present their experiences, activities, and artefacts they produce both inside and outside of university life as evidence of the skills developed while at QUT that contribute significantly to their lifelong learning and career development.
