Specification-neutral e-Portfolios and Their Implementation with a Fedora Database

Lifelong and lifewide learning requires the use of ePortfolios in communities which are used to format their data according to different specifications. The paper proposes a solution to the resulting problems of interoperability. It exploits the advantages of a service oriented distributed architecture. An accordingly adapted definition of ePortfolios is provided.
