Introducing the student competency portfolio in the Technical School of Castelldefels (EPSC) of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC)
The paper explains: 1) the conception of the competency portfolio project; 2) the description of new academic activities (e.g., problem based learning, cooperative learning, oral presentations, application projects, auto and peer assessment, tutor interviews) implanted in several subjects; 3) rubrics to assess the quality of the portfolio; 4) its electronic implementation as a web page; and 5), final conclusions and future plans related to the generalization of such practices in our university.
