Dear Conference Participants,

We hope that you had a safe trip back home and that the conference has inspired new ideas and projects that you want to share with your friends and colleagues.

On behalf of the EIfEL team, I would like to thank you for your participation and enthusiasm that made the 2009 ePortfolio conference and Learning London Forum such a successful event: 240 participants from 25 countries have attended 17 workshops, 17 parallel sessions and 3 plenaries.

Thanks are also due of course to the keynote and parallel session speakers whose contributions demonstrated once again the key role of learning technologies in personal and organisational learning and development, employability and healcare.  We are also grateful for the excellent work of the session chairs.

We are currently working on the Conference report and on making the presentations and papers publicly available. Speakers can continue to upload

. We also invite speakers to upload their presentations on Slideshare, using the keyword LFL2009.

In order to make this laboratory a reality, EIfEL has reinvented itself as a MultiplePortfolio organisation. For individuals, the significance of EIfEL being a MultiplePortfolio organisation means that each of our members will be able to choose their own ePortfolio system, whilst still being able to fully interact with the Institute and their peers to support their continuing professional development and their recognition as professionals. For organisational members, 
this means that EIfEL aims at being a life testbed, a benchmark for interoperability. -A working group has been set-up to address the challenges brought up during the conference.
