The e-rail projects intend to develop cooperation between railways companies in Europe on e-learning through the sharing methodologies and learning resources. To facilitate cooperation and sharing of experiences, a description of the situation of the partners has been planned. The partners consider e-learning as a very promising activity that is already well implemented in several companies. But could be more developed. The collection of information and benchmarking is considered by companies as very useful in a pre-competitive perspective.
