Report on 4th e-creator Meeting, Madrid, 7 & 8 October 05
This 4th meeting is hosted by Nanfor Iberico, a Spanish technical partner. Nadine Jouanen represents EIfEL
After a general overview given by our coordinator, we focused on our main objective : achievement of the modules.
Each partner made a presentation of their actual version and partners gave their feedback.
It is still possible for you to evaluate (even shortly) the modules created by e-creator partners, in particular the EIFEL one.
If you are interested, please contact Nadine Jouanen.
EIfEL is in charge of the module 4, titled « Directory of ICT tools and resources for educational purposes ».
It was proposed to change for « An exploration of ICT tools » to reflect the richness of ICT useful for educational purpose.
The module is based on the contents provided by CRITE (Centre de Ressources et dInnovation en Technologies Educatives » of Ecole des Mines de Nantes, a high school for engineers.
See here : http://gemgev.industrie.gouv.fr/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=33
It presents in 7 categories and 29 sub-categories, more than 120 products to communicate, search and store information, organize, manage activities, create multimedia contents, exercices, simulate, evaluate
Exercices and activities for this module are built in order to enable future trainers or content developers to locate the various ICT tools, understand their uses in educational situations and rapidly begin to use each type of tool.
In total, 146 tool categories are now implemented in the platform provided by the project.
See the e-creator website : http://www.ecreator.org/
The only improvement required by the partners about module 4, is to put some explanation about how the process and criteria were decided by the CRITE to evaluate and organize the products.
The main discussion and a main issue for the quality of the project is about our capacity to work in cooperation to fit the modules together and organize the navigation within and between the different modules.
Next deadline : for each partner, improve our own module after this meeting, then on the 30th of November provide the definitive version of modules after a second evaluation, eventually by external structures.
Pilots will begin by the middle of January after the translation of all the modules in each language of the project : German, Greek, Romanian, Spanish, French and English. They will finish in April to work than on dissemination, evaluation, improvement for a second eventual phase. There is a proposition to organize a congress to prepare then a new project.
If you are interested to participate (in France) to the French pilot, please contact Nadine Jouanen.
The next meeting is planned for the end of January just after the beginning of the pilots.
